Each one is paying two cents for the Turkish drama “Ertugrul”. In view of the public interest in this regard, even Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik decided to address it during a recent Q&A session. However, he decided to answer the question whether it is haram or halal.
Recently, someone slipped Indian Muslim scholar Dr. Zakir Naik into a question about the world-famous Turkish series. The person who raised this question explained the popularity of this series in the subcontinent and how the “Deoband” sect in the subcontinent passed a fatwa against drama.
Ertugrul is a one-act play about the rise of the Ottoman Empire. The main character of the series, “Ertugrul” is the founder of the Ottoman Empire. The purpose of this series is to support progressive Islamic values and history by presenting the story of “Osman I”.
The internationally beloved series represents a positive representation of Muslims for a global audience and is followed globally.
Dr. Zakir Naik answers questions about Ertugrul
Back in the Q&A session, Dr. Zakir was asked:
What is your advice to these young people who are wasting their time on this ‘haram’ series in Ramadan?
A range of similar questions was also offered.
“Is it permissible in Islam to watch the Airtel series?”
“What does Islam say about watching dramas and movies?”
Dr. Zakir Naik mentioned that he receives only 100 questions in connection with the series. Naik said his answers to these questions should not be limited to the Turkish series, but aimed at a wider application.
Here is what they have to say about the content in the media:
“Let me tell you, I’m in the field of media, almost all movies, dramas, series, almost all 99.9% can’t meet the halal standard. Some are less haraam, some are haraam.
On the case of Ertugrull, however, Dr. Zakir Naik said that he has not yet done an in-depth survey of the series.
As far as Ertugrull is concerned, I have not done any in-depth survey on Ertugrull. So I can’t answer everything on Ertugrul. But yes I have read the reports, I have read the articles and written that Ertugrul is one of the best series in the world.
He stressed that no series can be completely halal, so the Turkish series should be less haram. What is the reason Turkish actress without hijab
“Yes, from the articles I have read about it, I know that it is less (haram). It cannot be completely permissible because there are female actors who are not in hijab. So it cannot be 100% halal. It has music that can’t be haraam, but also embracing scenes, etc. But of course it’s not like normal movies, like Bollywood and Hollywood, there are no heartbreaking, loving scenes, etc. Hugs etc.
He says it is definitely not 100% halal, and no one can give a fatwa that it is permissible to watch the series. So they advise not to watch any series. However, for cinema fans, he suggested that they go ahead and watch series like Ertugrull.
He explained how he had seen the message of the less haraam movie and recommended it to others even though it is not 100% halal. He explained that although a film or series is not pornographic, it can never be 100% halal. But since the film helps bring people closer to Islam, it is permissible.
“A few years ago I saw the movie” Message “. Which is the best movie that has ever been made in the world, in my opinion, ‘even’ The Message ‘movie that I have seen is not 100% halal, there was music and sometimes there were women who were dressed appropriately It wasn’t embellished, but the way it was made was great. It will definitely bring a person closer to Islam, but still I can’t say that it is 100% halal.
So there you have it. You can see their arguments here:
